Help to shape the future of the RYA
The Royal Yachting Association asks boaters to help them ensure their training courses are relevant
The RYA is asking for your input in a bid to ensure that its training courses retain both their relevance and their standards. They need to know what you think about current RYA courses, what you would like to see offered in the future and what type of course format you prefer. This is your chance to help shape the future of RYA training courses and all you have to do is visit http://www.ryainteractive.org and fill in the anonymous surveyRichard Falk, RYA Training Manager, explains: “We’re always looking at ways to improve the courses we offer, and to ensure that we are delivering courses which suit people’s needs and which are delivered in a format that works for them. The best way for us to ensure that we are doing this is to listen. The survey has been running since the beginning of January and it has been really interesting, reading the responses that we have received to date. For instance, over 50 per cent of the people who have completed the survey have said that they would prefer to take a practical course over a short, intense period of three to five days rather than a modular course taught over a longer period of time. While we may think something like this is what people want, the only way we can be sure is to hear it directly from the customer.”
Those who enter the survey before the closing date at the end of April 2012 can also enter a prize draw to win a selection of RYA publications. See the RYA http://www.ryainteractive.org for details.
